Rep. Steve Berch Newsletter - CORRECTION: Interview with KTVB-TV
NOTE TO READERS: The original version of this email had a link to the KTVB-TV interview that stopped working shortly after it was sent. I'm resending the newsletter with the correct link. I apologize for the inconvenience.
I was recently interviewed on KTVB-TV’s Viewpoint program to discuss issues expected to arise during the 2025 session of the Idaho Legislature. The interview included other Republican and Democratic Party leaders in the Senate and House: Senate Minority Leader Melissa Wintrow, Senate Majority Leader Lori Den Hartog, and House Majority Leader Jason Monks.
CLICK HERE to watch a recording of the 30-minute Viewpoint interview, which was broadcast on Dec. 29, 2024. The Republican legislators are interviewed first, followed by Sen. Wintrow and me (about halfway into the show). Topics discussed include:
- Impact of the November election on the legislature
- Threats to repeal Medicaid Expansion
- Consequences of Idaho's current anti-abortion laws
- Shifting tax dollars from public schools to for-profit private and religious schools
- Governor Little's upcoming State of the State address
